The Mangosteen Fruit
The Mangosteen fruit is not a mango. It is a fruit commonly found in Asia and is deep reddish purple when ripe. The outer shell of the fruit (pericarp) is hard, typically 4-6 cm in diameter, resembling a spherical, black cartoon bomb.
